Revlon has clearly been busy. This big giant display from CVS isn’t even everything. It features:
- Nearly Naked foundation and pressed powder. Love the idea, but none of the shades I could find looked like a good match for my skin tone (then again, that’s a really common problem I have – I’m pale, yet yellowy. Clearly people who make foundation think anyone as light as I am should have pink undertones!)
- PhotoReady eyeshadow palettes. Finally! I reviewed a couple of these (Pop Art and Metropolitan) a month or so ago and found them to be pretty awesome.
- Ultrasuede Lipsticks. I bought one of these, and it’s the first disappointing lip product I’ve gotten from L’Oreal in a while. I’ll do a full review sometime in the near future. Full review to come soon.
- New nail polish shades.
I know many of you haven’t had a chance to see the PhotoReady Palettes yet, so here’s a closeup.
I love these new nail polish stands. Every one I’ve seen has been in total disarray with the “Bubble Gum Days” and “Urban Nights” shades all mixed up randomly. The idea seems to be brightened pastel shades for day and deeper, more sophisticated shades for night. They’re all so pretty sitting together on the stand – even in a jumble!
And they’re jumping on the BB cream bandwagon with three shades. I won’t be testing this because I tried the tester on my hand and it actually made me itch – I have sensitivities to a LOT of foundations, so this isn’t a negative against Revlon. You can be sensitive to anything, including ingredients that are really beneficial to most people.
Pretty exciting stuff!
