NYX Round Lipstick in Fig is a slightly cool medium pink with blue undertones. It’s close enough to neutral that it can still work for a lot of warmer skin tones.
Fig is one of NYX’s “Extra Creamy” lipsticks, which run anywhere from about $2 on sale to maybe $5 at most, and are sold at Ulta and now some Targets (I think they’re carrying the Round Lipsticks?). This formula has pros and cons. This particular shade is so pigmented that it’s opaque in one swipe. But because it’s so creamy, I only get a couple hours’ wear out of it before it needs touching up. Some of the Round shades tend to settle into lines, but not this one. It feels a little bit hydrating on the lips, and for me it also feels lightweight once it dries down a little. The finish is creamy with some shine, but no shimmer.
Aside from the wear time, the only other potentially negative thing I can say about this one is, it has a scent that’s kind of chemical or medicinal. I wish NYX would dump this scent. It doesn’t bug everybody, but to me it almost tastes like there’s soap on my lips, and anytime I press my lips together I smell it again – it never dies down.
