Laura Geller’s I-Care waterproof eyeliner in Ocean is a blue eyeliner with green undertones and a matte finish. It’s in a twist-up barrel with a smudging tip on the backend and a sharpener behind the smudging tip in case you want to get it to a really fine point.
This is one of the most seriously waterproof eyeliners I’ve ever worn. Once it sets, it is not going anywhere. Even in the waterline, which is tough for me because my eyes don’t react well to it and produce tears, it stayed on. The color payoff is exactly what you expect from looking at the pencil, and it glides on nicely without skipping or tugging. You have a minute or so to smudge it (if you want) before it sets. I found it was opaque in one pass, and would rank this one up there with Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Pencils or Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide Pencils. The wear was actually a little better for me.
I got this one recently in a set, along with another shade called Bone which I’ll review soon. Bone is, as you might guess, a beige matte color which is ideal for lining the inner rim and waterline for that awake and refreshed look. It also wore surprisingly well, so based on both of these together, I would definitely consider trying more from this line.
Now for the swatches:
The left is a line swatch and the right is sort of smudged out and diffused in a way it probably never would be on your eye. But I thought it was really cool that it can actually smudge out that much and still look smooth and not patchy. You could use this as a cream eyeshadow base.
