Lancome’s Nectar Lace Blush Subtil Palette contains a blush, a contour and a highlight. It’s designed to provide three products to sculpt your face just so. You wear the contour right below the cheekbone, the blush on it, and the highlighter above it.
I really loved the color combination here – the contour is an interesting cool-toned brown which really worked for me, and the blush is a nice peachy color that I had to apply lightly because it’s so pigmented, and the highlighter is a satiny, subtle pale peach. All the shimmer there is in this one is in the blush, and it’s so fine that it comes across more as a sheen than a sparkle. All three powders have a very nice feel and are easy to work with.
The one problem I had was with wear time, until I figured out how to fix that. The contour and highlight would last just fine, but the blush didn’t. So I asked myself what was the difference, and it’s that I have to apply the blush with a light hand. The others are so subtle I can apply them normally. I tried putting the blush on full strength (which made me look like a clown) and then buffing it with a brush until it looked like a nice healthy glow. That helped it stay on all day.
The blush is a peachy coral with gold shimmer. It shows up as a sheen on the cheeks. The contour powder is a cool light-medium brown. The highlight is a very light peach that’s even less shimmery than the blush.
