Rimmel #105 Lasting Finish Lipstick By Kate is a neutral brownish rose with a shimmer finish. I really couldn’t detect warm or cool undertones with this one, which means it should be flattering to a lot of complexions.
NYX Round Lipstick in Fig is a slightly cool medium pink with blue undertones. It’s close enough to neutral that it can still work for a lot of warmer skin tones.
MAC’s Ruby Woo Retro Matte lipstick is a long-time cult favorite matte red. It’s a bright coral red, but the undertones aren’t overpowering – sometimes it even looks a little cool on me in certain lighting. I’m late to the game on this one!
Rimmel’s Lasting Finish Lipstick By Kate in shade #109 is a coral demi-matte. It’s more soft than bright, which makes it flattering to more skin tones and easier to coordinate with other makeup and clothes.
NYX’s Round Lipstick in Femme (around $4 at Ulta) is a bright coral with a semi-matte finish. I really can’t make the color description more complicated than that – it’s equal parts orange and pink, leaning toward red, which is exactly what coral should be.
