L’Oreal’s Infallible eye shadow in Golden Sage (Ulta,$7.99) is an intensely pigmented powder formula that claims to stay on your lids for 24 hours without budging, fading or creasing. As I discussed in my review of another shade, Bronzed Taupe, I’m just not willing to test any face or eye makeup for 24 hours, but these are certainly long-wearing and resistant to creasing or budging. That is to say, this will last longer on you than most shadows. If you are like a friend of mine and experience creasing within an hour or two, even with high quality shadows and a good primer, this is not going to last anything like twelve hours, but it will be better than most you’ve tried.
L’Oreal’s Infallible eye shadow in Bronzed Taupe (Ulta, $7.99) is an intensely pigmented powder formula that claims to stay on your lids for 24 hours without budging, fading or creasing. I didn’t test for the full 24 hours (I’m just not willing to leave makeup on my face or eyes that long), but it wears wonderfully on me for a good 14 hours. I also had a very oily-lidded friend try it – on her, even with primer, any powder shadow creases a little bit within an hour at most. Without a primer, this lasted well over an hour, which is a good result.
Argh! For years, I’ve used L’Oreal Voluminous mascara and loved it. It did exactly what I wanted, which was to make me look like I had a schmillion long lashes. It added volume, but also separated my lashes wonderfully. And it was effortless to use.
