One of Anastasia’s contributions to the holiday season is their limited edition “Want You To Want Me” collection which includes 9 eyeshadows in a removable palette of their own, a small black liquid eyeliner in Jet, a small brow gel and a double-ended brush in a velveteen box with bronze trim. The eyeshadows are in their own, smaller velveteen box, and the rest of the items sit in a the main box. Both the palette box and the main box have mirrors. For presentation, you can’t beat this set – the packaging is elegant and classy, and you can take the eyeshadows out if you want to travel with something a bit smaller.
Anastasia is best known for their eyebrow products, but they also make a number of permanent eyeshadow palettes which are supposed to make you look younger if you use them without anything under them (not even primer) for four weeks or more. The box goes into detail about the clinical trials they’ve done to prove this, and this actually put me off buying these for months. They looked so gorgeous to me every time I saw them in the store, but (a) I don’t really need the “lift” they promise just yet and (b) I don’t wear anything every day for four weeks, because I’d get bored. I did not test the anti-aging claims of this product: I only tested it as eyeshadow.
