Here’s a sneak peek at some of the items I’ve hauled recently, all of which will be getting reviewed here in the upcoming days and weeks!
Wet N Wild has some limited edition eyeshadow trios out right now, and they’re just $2 compared to the usual $3! I picked ’em all up at Walgreens the other day, along with a couple of permanent collection trios I didn’t have that are also on sale for $2. I haven’t played with these yet – the colors are gorgeous, and if they’re as good as these trios usually are, a lot of people are going to be oh so very happy!
I also picked up Bobbi Brown’s new Rich Chocolates Eyeshadow Palette for Fall 2013, also limited edition. It’s the first eyeshadow palette I’ve bought from her because I’ve tested the others in stores and wasn’t overwhelmed by them. But I got to play with this one in Nordstrom’s the other day, and I was indeed overwhelmed. It’s mostly matte, and the colors seemed very rich! I’ve worn it two days so far, playing with different looks. I’m going to try to review it very soon because it’s limited edition and these palettes can go fast, but I want to make sure I’ve tested it thoroughly enough before reviewing. Expect that one later this week.
Urban Decay’s Black Market limited edition eyeliner set also made its appearance in my shopping bag. It’s 6 mini liners – Desperation, plus 5 brand new colors. I’ve tested one of the new ones, and already had Desperation and loved it – so far, so great!
I grabbed some permanent collection Wet N Wild singles I didn’t have – haven’t even had a chance to open them yet. I’ll get to them after all this limited edition gorgeousness because they’ll still be around.
I also nabbed a couple of eyeshadow palettes from Icing, the mall store that sells accessories. They’ve had palettes forever, but these are new with cardboard packaging. I played with a demo in the store and was impressed, given how affordable these are. Again, this will come after the limited edition stuff.
I’ve also gotten some various skin care stuff, but I like to test skin care stuff for at least a week since the product is supposed to do something beyond sticking to your face properly until you remove it. But at least one of these items – BareMinerals’ Redness Remedy – will get a review next week.
And while it’s not part of a recent haul, I did buy a heckuva lot of MakeupGeek Eyeshadows and several lipsticks months ago, and I’m determined to get around to reviewing them soon. The eyeshadows in particular are terrific!
