Illamasqua Tweak Powder Blush
Illamasqua’s Tweak powder blush is described as a reddish-pink matte. I’d have called it a very deep coral-red because it’s equal parts orange and pink. I ordered it off the website and actually thought it was going to be more of a deep pink and a little less bright based on their swatch. Fortunately, it worked for me anyway.
It looks scary in the pan, but this is one of those blushes that is so finely milled you can really control the application. While it’s got plenty of pigment, the texture isn’t at all powdery so you don’t have to worry that barely touching your brush to it will pick up clownish amounts of the blush. You can actually gently swipe a fluffy blush brush across the surface and pick up just enough to give one fairly pale cheek (like mine) a very natural looking rush of color. That makes this an easy “daring” blush even for those who aren’t sure of their application skills.

It applies smoothly and is easy to blend. If you apply it more heavily or choose to build up the color with several passes, it will still go on smoothly and blend easily. This shade will flatter many warm skin tones, including deeper ones. It has enough pink in it to also work for a lot of cooler skin tones. For me, this blush wears longer than average before fading.

Glow My Way Beauty Reviews & Tutorials

This reminds me of make up forever’s blush #99 scarlet. Scary has hell in pan, the mist beautiful real looking flush on. It looks very youthful on, I think.
Yep, that sounds very much the same! Lately I’m really drawn to deep blushes because they’re actually more the sort of color I turn when I’m in cold weather. Lighter blushes are just a totally different shade of pink/red, so the darker ones applied with a light hand actually look more natural on me.
My skin color is odd. I can look cool at times and warm others. I have found a red blush with a deep plum or brick as contour/bronzing looks more natural and flattering. I think anyone who is fair should try it. I know that when I get a cold weather flush or workout flush I run these colors. I hope I am tricking people into believing I am vivacious instead of sleep deprived.
I’m sure you are, LOL. That’s what you’ve got on in your picture here, right? And it looks great!
